The Background
Dron & Dickson were asked to survey the existing cable containment and the associated tertiary steel brackets on a North Sea offshore manned asset for a UK Operator. The fixed platform has been in service for over 30 years, and over this extended period, Stainless Steel cabling system had substantial corrosion.
Dron & Dickson performed surveys of each deck, highlighting areas of concern where the containment was beyond repair. The survey report detailed the remedial actions required across the platform, collating the bill of materials to conduct the subsequent scopes.
