A full and thorough survey was conducted to ensure all aspects of the project were covered, from access requirements, power consumption to lighting levels. In conjunction with the client, a rigorous technical evaluation was conducted reviewing the most advanced options available in the market.
The decision was subsequently made to utilise the Chalmit Evolution X LED floodlights. The new floodlights deliver lower power consumption and greater light distribution, with improved colour rendering to provide improved working conditions than the previously installed HPS floodlights.
In addition, following our lighting design, Dron & Dickson were able to reduce the number of fittings installed providing greater long term cost reductions for inspections and maintenance, and also further reduce power consumption. A Rope Access and CompEx certified team of technicians were mobilised to provide destruct of the old, and installation the new fittings.

The project was delivered on time and under budget. The operator has reduced their lighting power consumption, reduced short term and long term inspection and maintenance costs, and now provides improved visibility and working conditions on the platform.
